Hello Moon Children!

I am so fascinated by the masterpiece that is Salvation Mountain.  It is located in the lower desert of Southern California and is made from adobe, straw, and thousands of gallons of paint. It was created by Leonard Knight as a tribute to God and his gift to the world, with its message: "God Is Love.” The mountain encompasses numerous murals and areas painted with Christian sayings and Bible verses.  I love how the mountain also contains flowers, trees, waterfalls, suns, bluebirds, and many other fascinating and colorful things (a big red heart in the middle and cross at the very top). It is so beautiful and you can really see the passion in creating this brilliant piece of art. What I like most about Salvation Mountain is the reoccurring theme of "Love!"
